Complex sleep apnea is a type of sleep apnea which has both obstructive and central components as described above. Sleep disorders left untreated can have significant negative consequences increasing the risk for stroke, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, several other diseases such as glaucoma and poor overall functioning in waking hours.
