Hantavirus is a rare but potentially serious viral infection that can affect the lungs and, in some cases, the kidneys. Most people become infected after coming into contact with rodents or areas contaminated with rodent urine, droppings, or saliva. Although uncommon, hantavirus infections can become life-threatening if not recognized early.

At the moment, there is no confirmed major hantavirus outbreak reported in Pakistan according to publicly available international health reports. Most recent global concern is linked to a cruise ship outbreak associated with travelers from South America, particularly involving the Andes strain of hantavirus. However, rodent-borne diseases are always a concern in countries where rat and mouse exposure can occur, including Pakistan. Media discussions in Pakistan have increased recently because of global news coverage and concerns about rodent infestations in some cities.

Understanding the symptoms, risk factors, and prevention steps can help protect you and your family.

What Is Hantavirus?

Hantavirus refers to a group of viruses carried mainly by rodents. Humans can become infected when they breathe in tiny virus particles from contaminated dust or surfaces.

Different types of hantaviruses are found in different regions of the world. Some cause severe lung disease called Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), while others may lead to kidney-related illness known as Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS).

How Does Hantavirus Spread?

Hantavirus usually spreads through exposure to infected rodents or their waste. Common ways people may become infected include:

Sweeping or cleaning rodent-infested areas without protection

Breathing dust contaminated with rodent urine or droppings

Touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the face

Handling rodents or rodent nests

Eating food contaminated by rodents

The virus is not commonly spread from person to person in most hantavirus strains.

Which Rodents Carry Hantavirus?

Different rodents may carry the virus depending on the region. These can include:

Deer mice

Rats

Field mice

Cotton rats

Rodents carrying the virus may not appear sick, which makes prevention especially important.

Symptoms of Hantavirus

Symptoms often begin 1 to 8 weeks after exposure. Early symptoms may resemble the flu, which can make the illness difficult to recognize at first.

Early Symptoms

Common early symptoms include:

Fever

Fatigue

Muscle aches

Headache

Chills

Dizziness

Nausea or vomiting

Abdominal pain

Later Symptoms

As the illness progresses, more serious symptoms can develop, including:

Shortness of breath

Cough

Chest tightness

Difficulty breathing

Rapid heartbeat

In severe cases, fluid can build up in the lungs, making breathing extremely difficult.

Can Hantavirus Symptoms Overlap With Lung Disease?

Yes, hantavirus symptoms can overlap with several lung diseases, especially during the early stages. This is one reason why the infection can sometimes be difficult to diagnose quickly.

Symptoms That May Be Similar

Hantavirus pulmonary illness can resemble other respiratory conditions because it may cause:

Shortness of breath

Cough

Chest tightness

Fever

Fatigue

Rapid breathing

Low oxygen levels

These symptoms may also be seen in conditions such as:

Pneumonia

Asthma flare-ups

Viral chest infections

Pulmonary fibrosis exacerbations

Acute bronchitis

COVID-19 and other respiratory viral illnesses

What Makes Hantavirus Different?

One important clue is a history of rodent exposure. For example:

Cleaning dusty storage rooms or sheds

Exposure to mouse or rat droppings

Living in rodent-infested areas

Camping or farming exposure

Another feature is that hantavirus often starts with flu-like symptoms before rapidly progressing to breathing problems over a short period of time.

Can Hantavirus Be More Serious in People With Existing Lung Disease?

People who already have chronic lung disease may experience more severe breathing problems if they develop hantavirus infection because their lungs may already have reduced reserve.

This can include people with:

Asthma

COPD

Pulmonary fibrosis

Bronchiectasis

For these individuals, any sudden worsening of breathing symptoms should be medically evaluated promptly.

When Should You Seek Medical Attention?

Seek urgent medical care if you develop:

Sudden breathing difficulty

Severe shortness of breath

Chest discomfort

Persistent high fever after rodent exposure

Rapid worsening of respiratory symptoms

Early diagnosis and supportive treatment can improve outcomes.

Who Is at Higher Risk?

People who may have a higher risk of exposure include:

Farmers

Warehouse workers

Campers and hikers

People cleaning old buildings, sheds, or storage areas

Pest control workers

Living or working in areas with rodent infestations also increases risk.

How Is Hantavirus Diagnosed?

Doctors may suspect hantavirus based on symptoms, travel history, and possible rodent exposure. Blood tests are commonly used to confirm the infection.

Because early symptoms can resemble other viral illnesses or lung conditions, it is important to inform your doctor about any recent rodent exposure.

Doctors may also use:

Chest X-rays

CT scans

Oxygen level testing

Blood investigations

to help differentiate hantavirus from other lung diseases.

Treatment for Hantavirus

There is no specific antiviral cure for most hantavirus infections. Treatment mainly focuses on supportive care, which may include:

Oxygen therapy

Intravenous fluids

Intensive care monitoring

Mechanical ventilation in severe cases

Early hospital care is important, especially if breathing problems develop.

How to Prevent Hantavirus

Prevention mainly focuses on avoiding rodent exposure.

Tips to Reduce Risk

Keep homes and storage areas clean

Seal holes and gaps where rodents may enter

Store food in closed containers

Avoid sweeping dry rodent droppings directly

Use gloves and masks when cleaning contaminated areas

Spray disinfectant before cleaning rodent waste

Safe Cleaning Method

If you find rodent droppings:

Open windows for ventilation

Wear gloves and a mask

Spray the area with disinfectant

Let it soak for several minutes

Wipe with disposable towels

Wash hands thoroughly afterward

Avoid vacuuming or dry sweeping contaminated areas, as this may spread virus particles into the air.

Is Hantavirus Common?

Hantavirus infections are considered rare, but outbreaks can occur in areas with large rodent populations. Awareness and prevention are the best ways to reduce risk.

Can Hantavirus Be Fatal?

Yes, severe hantavirus infection can become life-threatening, especially when it affects the lungs. However, early medical care and supportive treatment improve the chances of recovery.

Role of The Chest Clinic – Dr. Javed and Associates

At The Chest Clinic, Dr. Javed and Associates provide patient-focused respiratory evaluation for individuals experiencing persistent cough, breathing difficulty, chest discomfort, or unexplained lung symptoms.

Because hantavirus symptoms can sometimes resemble pneumonia, asthma flare-ups, viral chest infections, or other lung conditions, proper respiratory assessment becomes important for accurate diagnosis and timely treatment.

The clinic focuses on:

Evaluation of respiratory infections and breathing problems

Assessment of unexplained shortness of breath

Chest imaging interpretation and lung assessment

Management of chronic lung diseases

Patient education regarding respiratory health and prevention

Patients experiencing sudden worsening of breathing symptoms or respiratory illness after possible environmental or rodent exposure should seek prompt medical evaluation.

World Asthma Day 2026 will be observed on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, as part of a global effort to improve awareness about asthma and promote better respiratory health. Organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), this annual event highlights the importance of early diagnosis, proper treatment, and improving access to asthma care worldwide.

Theme for World Asthma Day 2026

“Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma – still an urgent need.”

This year’s theme focuses on an important message: asthma treatment should not only provide temporary symptom relief but also control the underlying airway inflammation that causes asthma attacks and long-term complications.

Understanding Asthma

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the airways in the lungs. In asthma, the breathing passages become sensitive, swollen, and narrowed, making it difficult for air to move in and out properly.

Common asthma symptoms include:

Wheezing

Persistent cough

Chest tightness

Shortness of breath

Symptoms may come and go and are often triggered by allergies, infections, smoke, pollution, exercise, weather changes, or dust exposure.

Why World Asthma Day Matters

Millions of people worldwide live with asthma, yet many remain undiagnosed or poorly controlled. Some patients continue to ignore symptoms or depend only on quick-relief inhalers without addressing the inflammation inside the lungs.

Poorly controlled asthma can lead to:

Frequent emergency visits

Recurrent asthma attacks

Disturbed sleep

Reduced physical activity

Missed school or workdays

Hospitalization in severe cases

World Asthma Day encourages patients and families to recognize symptoms early and seek proper medical care before complications develop.

The Importance of Anti-Inflammatory Inhalers

One of the major messages of the 2026 campaign is the importance of anti-inflammatory inhalers, particularly inhaled corticosteroids.

These inhalers help by:

Reducing airway inflammation

Preventing asthma attacks

Improving breathing control

Lowering the risk of severe exacerbations

Many patients mistakenly believe they only need treatment when symptoms occur. However, regular controller therapy is often necessary even when patients feel well.

Signs That Asthma May Not Be Well Controlled

Asthma may not be properly controlled if a patient experiences:

Frequent cough, especially at night

Regular wheezing

Breathlessness during normal activities

Frequent use of reliever inhalers

Recurrent chest tightness

Symptoms triggered by weather or allergies

Well-controlled asthma should allow patients to live an active life with minimal symptoms.

Correct Inhaler Technique Is Essential

Incorrect inhaler use is one of the most common reasons asthma treatment fails.

Even the best medication may not work properly if the inhaler technique is incorrect.

Patients should:

Learn proper inhaler technique

Use controller medications regularly

Avoid stopping medications without medical advice

Attend regular follow-up visits

Common Asthma Triggers

Asthma triggers vary between individuals and may include:

Dust and air pollution

Cigarette smoke

Viral infections

Strong fragrances or chemicals

Pet dander

Seasonal allergies

Cold air

Identifying and avoiding triggers can help reduce flare-ups and improve asthma control.

Asthma in Children

Asthma commonly affects children and may present differently than in adults.

Parents should seek medical advice if a child has:

Recurrent coughing

Wheezing during colds

Difficulty running or playing

Night-time cough

Repeated chest infections

Early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve a child’s quality of life.

When Should You Seek Urgent Medical Help?

Immediate medical attention is needed if asthma symptoms become severe, including:

Difficulty speaking due to breathlessness

Severe wheezing

Bluish lips or fingertips

Poor response to inhalers

Rapid worsening of symptoms

Severe asthma attacks can become life-threatening if treatment is delayed.

The Chest Clinic – Dr. Javed Husain and Associates, Karachi

At The Chest Clinic – Dr. Javed Husain and Associates, Karachi, patients with asthma and other respiratory conditions receive comprehensive and patient-centered care focused on improving long-term breathing health. The clinic provides evaluation and treatment for asthma, chronic cough, wheezing, allergy-related respiratory problems, and difficult-to-control asthma. Patients are educated regarding inhaler technique, trigger avoidance, medication adjustment, and prevention of asthma exacerbations. With an evidence-based approach and strong emphasis on patient education, the clinic aims to help individuals achieve better asthma control, fewer hospital visits, and improved quality of life.

World Sarcoidosis Day, observed on April 13, raises awareness about Sarcoidosis—a condition that often goes unrecognized until symptoms begin to affect daily life. This day is especially important for patients, as understanding the disease early can help prevent complications.

What is Sarcoidosis?

Sarcoidosis is a condition where the immune system becomes overactive, forming tiny clusters of cells (granulomas) in different organs.

In most cases, the lungs are the primary organ affected, making respiratory symptoms the most common presentation.

How Does Sarcoidosis Affect the Lungs?

When the lungs are involved (pulmonary sarcoidosis), it can lead to:

Inflammation of lung tissue

Enlarged lymph nodes in the chest

Gradual reduction in lung function

Symptoms patients may notice:

Persistent dry cough

Shortness of breath, especially on exertion

Chest discomfort

Ongoing fatigue

Some patients may have no symptoms and are diagnosed incidentally on a chest X-ray.

When Should You See a Doctor?

You should seek medical advice if you experience:

A cough lasting more than 3–4 weeks

Increasing breathlessness

Unexplained fatigue

Symptoms not improving with routine treatment

Early evaluation can help detect Sarcoidosis before complications develop.

How is Sarcoidosis Diagnosed?

Diagnosis usually involves:

Chest X-ray or CT scan

Lung function tests

Blood tests

Sometimes a biopsy

These help confirm the condition and rule out other diseases.

Can Sarcoidosis Be Treated?

Yes. Many cases improve on their own, but some require treatment.

Options may include:

Corticosteroids

Other medications in more severe cases

The goal is to control inflammation and protect lung function.

Living with Sarcoidosis: Patient Tips

Do not ignore persistent symptoms

Avoid smoking and polluted environments

Keep regular follow-ups

Maintain a healthy lifestyle

Stay informed about your condition

With proper care, many patients live normal, active lives.

Where to Get Help in Karachi

For patients looking for sarcoidosis treatment in Karachi, especially with lung involvement, expert respiratory care is essential.

Chest Clinic Dr Javed Husain and Associates is a specialized center for diagnosing and managing lung diseases, including sarcoidosis.

The clinic in Karachi offers:

Comprehensive respiratory evaluation

Lung function testing and monitoring

Imaging-based diagnosis and follow-up

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day is observed every year on March 24 to raise awareness about tuberculosis and to strengthen global efforts to eliminate this preventable and curable disease. The date marks the discovery of the TB bacterium by Dr. Robert Koch in 1882 — a milestone that made modern diagnosis and treatment possible.

Despite medical progress, tuberculosis remains a major public health concern, particularly in developing countries such as Pakistan. World TB Day serves as an important reminder that TB is still present in our communities, and early detection can save lives.

World TB Day Theme: “Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver.”

This year’s theme highlights hope and accountability. Ending TB requires strong healthcare systems, better access to diagnostic facilities, uninterrupted availability of medications, and public awareness. With collective effort, TB elimination is achievable.

Understanding Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis most commonly affects the lungs (pulmonary TB), but it can also involve lymph nodes, bones, spine, brain, and other organs. It spreads through the air when a person with active TB coughs, sneezes, or speaks.

Common symptoms include a persistent cough lasting more than two to three weeks, fever, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, and sometimes coughing up blood. Unfortunately, many patients delay seeking medical care, assuming the cough is minor. Early evaluation is critical.

Why Early Diagnosis Is Essential

TB is completely curable with proper treatment. However, incomplete, or irregular medication can lead to drug-resistant TB, which is more complex and costly to treat. Timely diagnosis not only protects the patient but also prevents transmission to family members and close contacts.

In countries with high TB burden, awareness plays a vital role in reducing stigma and encouraging individuals to seek medical help without fear.

Moving Toward a TB-Free Future

World TB Day reminds us that eliminating tuberculosis is possible through awareness, early testing, proper treatment, and community support. If you or a loved one has a persistent cough or unexplained symptoms, consult a healthcare professional promptly.

Ending TB starts with awareness — and with each of us taking action.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week is observed every year during the second week of March to raise awareness about the benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation for people living with chronic lung diseases.

In 2026, Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week will be observed from March 8 to March 14. This awareness week highlights how pulmonary rehabilitation can help patients improve breathing, increase physical activity, and enhance overall quality of life.

Many patients with chronic lung disease struggle with breathlessness during everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, or even simple household tasks. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a proven treatment that helps patients regain control of their breathing and daily life.

What is Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a structured medical program designed to help people with chronic respiratory diseases manage their symptoms and improve lung health.

While medications such as inhalers play a vital role, pulmonary rehabilitation focuses on improving physical endurance, breathing efficiency, and overall functional capacity.

A typical pulmonary rehabilitation program includes:

Supervised exercise training

Breathing techniques to control shortness of breath

Education about lung disease

Nutritional counseling

Psychological and emotional support

These programs are usually supervised by respiratory specialists, physiotherapists, and trained healthcare professionals.

Who Can Benefit from Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Pulmonary rehabilitation can help many patients who experience persistent breathlessness, fatigue, or reduced physical capacity due to lung disease.

It is commonly recommended for patients with:

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Asthma

Bronchiectasis

Interstitial Lung Disease

Pulmonary Hypertension

Ongoing breathing difficulties after COVID-19

Patients who continue to feel breathless during daily activities despite treatment may benefit significantly from pulmonary rehabilitation.

Benefits of Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehabilitation is considered one of the most effective non-drug therapies in respiratory medicine.

Reduced Shortness of Breath

Patients learn breathing strategies such as controlled breathing and pacing techniques to better manage breathlessness.

Improved Exercise Capacity

Structured exercise training strengthens muscles and improves stamina, making everyday activities easier.

Fewer Hospitalizations

Pulmonary rehabilitation can reduce flare-ups and hospital admissions, particularly in patients with chronic lung diseases.

Better Mental Well-Being

Living with chronic breathlessness can affect mental health. Rehabilitation programs provide support that improves confidence and reduces anxiety.

Improved Quality of Life

Patients often experience better mobility, improved sleep, and greater independence after completing pulmonary rehabilitation.

Why Pulmonary Rehabilitation Awareness Matters

Despite strong scientific evidence supporting pulmonary rehabilitation, it remains underutilized in many parts of the world. Many patients are not aware that such programs exist, while others are not referred early enough.

Awareness initiatives like Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week 2026 encourage patients to learn about this important therapy and speak with their doctor about whether it may be beneficial for them.

Early referral to pulmonary rehabilitation can significantly improve long-term outcomes for patients with chronic lung disease.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Karachi

For patients in Karachi experiencing persistent shortness of breath or difficulty with daily activities due to lung disease, consultation with a pulmonologist can help determine whether pulmonary rehabilitation is appropriate.

Pulmonary specialists at The Chest Clinic – Dr Javed Husain and Associates provide evaluation and management for a wide range of respiratory conditions. Patients with diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, and Interstitial Lung Disease may benefit from assessment by experienced pulmonologists who can guide them regarding pulmonary rehabilitation and other treatment options.

World Aspergillosis Day, marked on 1st February, draws attention to aspergillosis—a group of fungal diseases that remain largely unrecognized despite their significant impact on human health. Caused by the Aspergillus fungus, these conditions affect people across the world, particularly those with underlying lung disease or impaired immunity.

Aspergillus is not rare or exotic. Its spores are present in soil, dust, stored grains, compost, and even indoor air. Every person inhales these spores daily without consequence. Disease occurs when the body’s natural defenses are unable to clear the fungus, allowing it to trigger allergic reactions, chronic infection, or invasive illness.

This makes aspergillosis particularly relevant in individuals with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), post-tuberculosis lung damage, bronchiectasis, or immunosuppression.

A Spectrum of Disease

Aspergillosis is not a single clinical entity but a spectrum:

Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA) causes immune-mediated lung inflammation and worsening asthma control.

Chronic Pulmonary Aspergillosis (CPA) develops slowly over months or years, often following prior lung infections such as tuberculosis.

Invasive Aspergillosis is an aggressive infection that can spread beyond the lungs and is associated with high mortality if not treated promptly.

Aspergilloma occurs when fungal growth occupies an existing lung cavity, sometimes leading to severe bleeding.

Because symptoms overlap with more common respiratory illnesses, aspergillosis is frequently mistaken for bacterial infection or recurrent tuberculosis.

When Aspergillosis Goes Unrecognized

Delayed or missed diagnosis remains one of the greatest challenges in aspergillosis care. In many settings, access to fungal cultures, serological testing, and advanced imaging is limited. As a result, patients may suffer prolonged symptoms, repeated courses of ineffective antibiotics, and progressive lung damage before the correct diagnosis is made.

Yet aspergillosis is treatable. With timely recognition and appropriate antifungal therapy, disease progression can be slowed, complications reduced, and quality of life improved.

Why World Aspergillosis Day Matters

World Aspergillosis Day exists to remind us that fungal diseases deserve greater clinical attention. Increased awareness among healthcare professionals and the public can lead to earlier suspicion, targeted investigations, and better outcomes—especially in regions with a high burden of chronic lung disease.

World Pneumonia Day 2025, observed globally on November 12, aims to raise awareness about one of the world’s deadliest yet most preventable diseases — pneumonia. This annual event calls for global action to protect every breath and ensure that no one dies from a disease that can be prevented, treated, and cured.

What Is Pneumonia?

Pneumonia is a lung infection that causes inflammation in the air sacs (alveoli), making it difficult to breathe. These air sacs may fill with fluid or pus, leading to fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue.

It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Although anyone can develop pneumonia, the disease poses a serious threat to:

Children under five years of age

Older adults (above 65 years)

People with chronic illnesses or weakened immunity

Global Impact of Pneumonia

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), pneumonia remains the leading infectious cause of death in children under five worldwide, responsible for hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths every year. Most of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries where access to healthcare, vaccines, and clean air is limited.

With timely vaccination, early diagnosis, and access to proper medical treatment, pneumonia can be prevented and successfully managed.

World Pneumonia Day 2025 Theme: “Unite to Protect Every Breath”

It emphasizes the power of collective action — governments, health organizations, and communities working together to ensure every person has access to clean air, good nutrition, and essential healthcare.

This year’s message reminds us that every breath matters, and that protecting lung health must be a global priority.

Pneumonia Prevention Tips

Preventing pneumonia starts with small but powerful steps. Here’s how you can protect yourself and your loved ones:

Get Vaccinated

Vaccines against pneumococcus, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), influenza, and measles play a major role in pneumonia prevention.

Encourage Exclusive Breastfeeding

For infants, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months strengthens the immune system and lowers infection risk.

Maintain Good Nutrition

Balanced diets rich in vitamins, minerals, and protein support a healthy immune response.

Reduce Air Pollution

Avoid cigarette smoke and use clean cooking fuels to reduce indoor air pollution — a major pneumonia risk factor. Wear mask when visiting such polluted areas.

Seek Early Medical Care

If symptoms such as cough, fever, or difficulty breathing occur, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Early treatment can prevent serious complications.

Visit The Chest Clinic – Dr. Javed Husain & Associates

If you’re experiencing persistent cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, or fever, don’t delay getting checked — these could be signs of pneumonia or another serious lung condition.

At The Chest Clinic – Dr. Javed Husain & Associates, we are committed to providing comprehensive respiratory care under the expert supervision of Dr. Javed Husain, a highly qualified pulmonologist and chest specialist.
World Lung Day 2025: Theme “Healthy Lungs, Healthy Life”

World Lung Day, which takes place on September 25 every year, is a global movement to promote awareness about lung health and emphasize the significance of preventative care, early detection, and fair access to healthcare. This year’s theme, chosen by the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) and its allies, emphasizes the importance of preserving healthy lungs in overall well-being.

Asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, TB, and lung infections continue to be serious health issues around the world, particularly in populations with high levels of air pollution, tobacco smoke, and inadequate access to healthcare. The campaign calls on governments, healthcare providers, and citizens to collaborate to decrease risk factors, provide clean air, and enhance access to respiratory medications.

On World Lung Day 2025, the message is clear: every breath matters. Individuals and society can assist ensure lung health for all by taking preventive measures such as stopping smoking, improving air quality, and staying active, as well as supporting policies that encourage lung health.

The Role of a Pulmonologist in Keeping Lungs Healthy

Our lungs are essential for life, yet they are often overlooked until breathing becomes difficult. A pulmonologist, or lung specialist, plays a key role in protecting and improving lung health through prevention, early detection, and expert care.

One of the most important contributions of a pulmonologist is early diagnosis. Using lung function tests, imaging, and laboratory evaluations, they can detect conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung infections, or fibrosis before these illnesses progress.

Pulmonologists also provide specialized treatment tailored to each patient. This may include prescribing inhalers, antifibrotic medicines, oxygen therapy, or advanced interventions for severe cases. In addition, they guide patients in preventive measures—from quitting smoking and avoiding air pollutants to staying up to date on vaccinations that protect against pneumonia, flu, and other respiratory infections.

Beyond medical treatment, pulmonologists emphasize lifestyle changes. They encourage pulmonary rehabilitation, exercise, balanced nutrition, and breathing techniques to enhance lung capacity and overall well-being. Many also play an active role in public awareness campaigns, advocating for clean air and tobacco control.

The Chest Clinic, led by Dr. Javed Husain and associates, plays an important role in keeping lungs healthy through expert diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of respiratory diseases. With advanced care, patient education, and lifestyle guidance, the clinic empowers individuals to protect their lung health and improve overall quality of life.
